Valuehandlers is a supply chain management company, a Freight forwarding expert, specializes in the provision of total logistic Services which Include specifically: Air Cargo, Sea or Ocean shipping, Express Parcel, Import Documentation, Customs Clearing, Consolidation, door delivery from and to 80 countries. We also offer inland delivery service in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer
Location:  Lagos State
Employment Type: Full-time

Description:

Qualified candidate will be charged to prepare and examine financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid.

• Keeping proper accounting records
• Preparing accounts and important financial reports
• Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents
• Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time
• Preparing budgets and relevant cost estimates
• Administering payroll
• Compiling and presenting reports, business plansand financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory returns
• Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
• Analyzing accounts and business plans
• Advising the management on best financial practices, proactively identifying issues and strategizing solutions

.Qualifications

• OND/HND/BSc in Accounting and/or ICAN ATS or progression on professional examinations
• 1-2 years’ experience in core accounting duties.
• Minimum Grade requirement: For HND Upper Credit and for University: 2:2
• Professional, honest, and cool-headed.
• Working knowledge of SAGE Accounting software
• Focused, carrier oriented, disciplined, time conscious and diligent.
• Possesses right temperament to handle situation, professionally.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English.
