Call For Applications: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST 2025 For Africans (Full Scholarship with Monthly Stipend, Accommodation, Free Laptop and Mentorship)

The KNUST Mastercard Foundation Scholarship offers a comprehensive package that includes full tuition, accommodation, travel, books, a laptop, and a postgraduate internship for selected candidates.

The Program provides an array of services including mentorship, ethical leadership seminars, skills training, etc. that will lead to the scholar’s academic success, community engagement, and transition to employment opportunities which will equip the scholar to be a global citizen.

Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) provides access to quality education to qualified academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in deprived communities of Ghana and Africa and empower them to give back to the community.

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana is a partnership between KNUST and the Mastercard Foundation, headquartered in Toronto Canada.

The scholarship seeks to train altogether 2,250 scholars over an aggregated 15-year period 750 Scholars in Phase I – 2014-2019 and 1,500 Scholars in Phase II – 2019-2029) to contribute significantly to societal change and the transformation of Africa.

Eligibility Requirements 

To be considered for the KNUST Mastercard Foundation Scholarship:

  • All applicants and prospective candidates must have in their possession, a genuine and valid WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O Level and A Level or their equivalent results from accredited/recognized institutions. Applicant’s results must not be more than five years old. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be processed for the scholarship.
  • The candidates must further meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements
  • The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.
  • The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).
  • Priority shall be given to;
    • Females
    • Displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, and the like)
    • Persons living with Disability
  • The Applicant must be prepared to return and give back to his or her Community.
  • The Applicant must NOT be enrolled in any tertiary institution.

  • Comprehensive financial support (full tuition, fully paid on-campus accommodation, learning materials, transportation, and monthly stipend).

  • Original Certificates for Senior High School results (such as WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent Results).
