Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is spreading love this Valentine’s Day by extending a helping hand to 15,000 beneficiaries through the Lagos Market Trader Money initiative, each receiving N50,000.

The initiative aims to uplift market traders and modernize the trading landscape, aligning with the demands of the 21st century. Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, stressed the significance of educating traders on crucial aspects such as market hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, storage, marketing, and transportation. These topics took center stage during a sensitization event held at the Lagos Fresh Food Agro-Hub in Idi-Oro, Mushin.

Olusanya underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among food-producing states to effectively combat food insecurity. Emphasizing the necessity of partnerships in addressing this pressing issue, she highlighted the potential impact of collective action in overcoming challenges related to food supply and distribution.
