We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – PSS

Location: Lagos

Primary Objective

  • The Assistant Project Manager assists the project manager in ensuring the successful execution of a project, taking into account the turnaround time and stakeholder engagement/routine briefing on project status.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Runs complex Projects/Programs from design and development to production.
  • Mobile commerce implementation
  • Electronic Merchant Bank liaison and escalation
  • Crane-PAX – Airline Check-in System implementation
  • Crane Reservations – Airline Reservations System implementation
  • Crane Crew, SP and OCC implementation
  • APIS – AQQ
  • ULDs & Aircraft Weight and Balancing Systems
  • Crane IBE liaison and issue escalation with payment gateways and service providers
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Defines resources and schedules for project/program implementation.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
  • Directs and oversees project team members and manages conflicts
  • Performs team assessments and evaluations.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
  • Demonstrates leadership by defining requirements for project risk.
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for External Services.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

Education

  • Degree holder in Sciences / Engineering
  • PMP Certificate/Training

Experience:

  • Four years working experience on a similar role

Person Specification:

  • Advanced project management concepts,
  • Expert user of Microsoft Project, Visio,
  • Tactful.
  • Diplomatic.
  • Can work well under pressure.
  • Prepared to travel.
  • Prepared to work weekends when required
  • Working knowledge of Prince2
  • Must deliver a quality project
  • Must be accurate
  • Quality and Accuracy.
  • Excellent leadership skill
  • Numerate.

Working Relationships:

  • This role interacts with commercial heads/team, IT heads, and Management stakeholders.
