Job Title: Hausa Editor

Responsibilities
As a Hausa Editor at Legit.ng, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring trending politics, human angle, entertainment stories e.t.c on social media platforms.
- Writing and publishing 8 Hausa news articles in line with our in-house style guide.
- Conducting exclusive interviews and crafting special format articles such as features, analyses, fact-checks, and more.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Diploma / Degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field (additional qualifications in Hausa language and literature will be an advantage).
- Significant experience in journalism and Hausa writing.
- Exceptional writing skills, including storytelling and grammar.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to monitor news effectively.
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Access to a good internet connection and a laptop (minimum Intel Core i3).
- Proficiency in using social media platforms effectively.
