Job Description
- We are seeking to fill the role of a Sales and Marketing Manager to head the sales of PVC Materials – Pipes and fitting. The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to promote PVC products.
- Lead the sales team, manage key customer accounts, and collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
- Identify target markets and customer segments, creating strategies to effectively engage them.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product development and improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategic actions.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting sales targets and providing coaching.
- Motivate and incentivize the team to achieve sales objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Over 7 years of experience in sales and marketing within the plastics manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting customer insights for strategic planning.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficient in CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- In-depth understanding of the Nigerian consumer landscape
